Preparing for my departure

Getting ready to leave has been quite an emotional experience for me. I'm a little nervous about moving to a new country, a little sad to say goodbyes, but most of all I am thrilled beyond measure at the experiences and memories that await me in Australia. I know that no amount of planning or researching could prepare me for the year I have ahead of me, but I am proud to say that I was able to organize myself enough to make this trip happen. As of now, I will be studying biology at the University of Queensland in Brisbane for 2 semesters. I found an apartment about 5 minutes walking distance from the school, and I will be living with an Australian girl that also goes to the university.
